Throughout August Eight Foot Square is visiting various groups and working with the public around Hastings with The Craftimation Factory making puppets. We have already visited The Isabel Blackman Day Centre on Old Town and spent the day making over 60 puppets at Alexandra Park’s National Play Day. Come and join us on Thursday 28th August for the family session held at The Bridge Community Centre 10-1pm or if you are aged 8-13 see you at Hastings Adventure Playground, Ore in the afternoon 3.30-5.30pm. All materials provided.

Eight Foot Square Puppet

Inspired by the fishermen of Hastings responded to the challenge of how to dry their nets in a limited footprint of 8ft square between the cliffs and the beach, building their huts three storey high, our project looks to see what other people in the area can creatively do in 8ft square.

Request your free 8ft long ribbon to measure out your own eight foot square space. Experiment; create your own performance, installation, exhibition or workshop, individually or in a group. Then book your square for SATURDAY 30th AUGUST 2014 on The Stade Open Space, Rock-a-Nore Road, Hastings. All good family friendly fun, everyone is welcome to join in.

To be sent a ribbon or make a booking please e-mail Jacqueline.Ede@hotmail.co.uk
